Restylane® Silk: Restylane® Silk is the first and only FDA approved product specifically designed for subtle lip enhancement and the smoothing of wrinkles and lines around the mouth in patient’s over 21 years of age. Just like other members of the Restylane® family, Restylane® Silk is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid (a sugar that is naturally present in our skin). Restylane® Silk is designed specifically to provide natural-looking results in these areas. That is why it is made of smaller, smoother particles than those used in other Restylane® products.
Radiesse®: A water based gel made up of tiny calcium-based spheres. These microspheres are similar to the body’s natural minerals so allergy testing is not necessary. Once injected, it plumps the skin to give the appearance of a smoother surface. Over time, Radiesse® stimulates the body to produce collagen naturally. After some time (one year or more) the body’s immune system (cells called macrophages) absorb the calcium microspheres, leaving behind your natural collagen for long-lasting improvement in your appearance.
Fanning: This is a high-complexity technique. A dermal filler, usually Perlane®, is injected into an area of volume loss such as the cheeks, using a blunt tip catheter. The product is “fanned” evenly and gently to fill out the hollow areas, correcting volume loss in a natural appearing manner.
Neurotoxins
Botox®/Dysport®: These are neurotoxins that temporarily relax the facial muscles that when contracted, create moderate to severe frown lines. When administered by Dr. Lamas, patients look rested and serene, in a natural, “non-frozen” manner.
Microchanneling
Microchanneling simulates injury to the skin which stimulates the natural wound healing cascade and hyper-activates collagen production. A topical treatment serum containing bone marrow growth factors paired with hyaluronic acid (two things naturally found in the skin) is applied during and after the treatment to boost collagen and minimize downtime. There is little to NO downtime with this procedure! Microchanneling is fantastic as an anti-aging procedure and for concerns such as scarring, wrinkles, fine lines, laxity, and pigmentation.
